Huutomerkki ry is a youthful and active writers association. Huutomerkki's home is in the town of Oulu in Finland but the association contributes to the benefit of the whole northern literature. Huutomerkki ry has three major goals:
Huutomerkki in English means an exclamation mark(!). Huutomerkki has workshops. There we write and analyze together each others texts. Nowadays we have poem and novel workshops. We organize also education for our members. Society organizes events with other art forms as well, like theater and music. We are planning to found a magazine and publish an anthology. In the long run Huutomerkki is trying to offer possibilities that there would be publishers, bookstores, competitions and variety of different kind of literature events in the northern Finland. Anyone can participate Huutomerkki's activities and anyone can be a member. Society is trying to combine all northern writers like poets, authors, cartoon artists, journalist's and even critics and scholars. Contact:
